What is a Traumatic Brain Injury?
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is an impact to the brain, caused by external physical force that may produce a diminished or altered state of consciousness, which results in an impairment of physical and cognitive abilities. A concussion is the most common type of traumatic brain injury but of course there are varying degrees of impact and damage, both temporary or permanent.
